About Our Site and it's Purpose
Canso Causeway Info is a project that can give estimates of when the Canso Causeway will be Open, To try and predict potential traffic delay's. It is a website that can give educated predictions of when the Cause Way will be Open by using Public data. It is not a way to 100% get accurate readings if the bridge will be Open and is Not any sort of an Official website by the Provincial Government ,Federal Government or the Canadian Coast Guard. It is a Student project, this can be built by one of these organizations and be far more streamlined then this one.
What we hope can be brought from this?
​We hope that with this website and project we show that with minimal rescores and large amounts of data you can get a site that can give estimates of when boats will come through the Canso Canal .Something that already exist is that on the Radio Station 101.5 The Hawk (FM) it will occasionally announce when large vessels are scheduled to come through. Which also shows that they can see when large boats go through. We want to know why they can't bulid a site that could be very accurate with times of lagre vessels to come thorugh because of there Data that they have available
